Debra Cherney
Owner/President/Director of Microbiology
After a long career at Northland Food Laboratory where she held senior management positions, Deb added “entrepreneur” to her resume. A degreed microbiologist, she also had a business vision for managing her own lab dedicated to quality, accuracy and service. For 20 years, Deb has proven time and again that she is a diligent and industrious leader dedicated to both her customers and her company. Under her guidance, the laboratory has grown from a small family operation to an ever expanding organization with over 40 qualified and dedicated employees. Deb is a noted conference speaker and consults internationally on design for food plant laboratories and product development. In addition to service awards from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and many other civic organizations, she was recognized with the Joseph Mityas Laboratorian of the Year Award in 1995. She is on the Board of Directors Member for Green Bay Area Economic Development, certified member of WBENC (Women’s Business Enterprise National Council), member of NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners), and served as President of the Wisconsin Laboratory Association.
