For over 17 years now alongside his wife Debra, Marvin Cherney continues to provide stability, insight and true customer focus at Cherney Microbiological Services. As VP of Operations and Purchasing, Marvin oversees many behind-the-scenes functions at Cherney. While he is not actively involved with the processing of samples in the laboratory, he manages a staff that provides essential support services that allows the laboratory to operate efficiently. Marvin oversees the purchasing process, ensuring quality products and technical services are always entering Cherney’s doors. In 2000, Marvin represented the company as the on-site project manager during Cherney’s building expansion. Employing Marvin’s knowledge of our processes and construction expertise was invaluable during that construction period and he will again take on an active role in Cherney’s 2010 site expansion. A retired volunteer fireman for the Kewaunee Fire Department, Marvin understands the meaning of teamwork. Marvin’s ability to lead and his drive for excellence are just two characteristics that quality him as a valuable manager at Cherney Microbiological Services.
