To our Cherney community consisting of customers, colleagues, and industry friends. It is my extreme pleasure to share with you the announcement of Cherney’s new Chief Operating Officer (COO), Steve Kuchenberg, who officially starts with our organization on Monday, September 25th. Steve's extensive experience within our industry brings a new level of competence and technical expertise to our organization and while I’m personally very excited for him to lead our organization into the future, our team at Cherney will soon see how his passion for doing the right thing for those around him will quickly pass onto you our valued customers. Steve and I are in lockstep agreement about what actions will be taken to achieve our strategic vision for Cherney. A very exciting time is ahead, welcome Steve! - Debra Cherney
In our first edition of our quarterly CEO Corner – we’ve given Founder & CEO the opportunity to share thoughts on any topic. While many of them will be related to food safety, the one below is the perfect piece to awareness to Cherney and just one of the many core values that drives our team day in and day out. Enjoy!
Providing an unmatched level of customer service is the foundation upon which my company was founded. It is one of the main core values we strive to achieve every single day. Recently, I experienced an incident personally that reminded me of the importance of this value and how it impacts our continued success.
As 2016 comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank our Customers for their business and thank our team for their efforts supporting our Strategic Initiatives. We expect to continue to strengthen performance with our most important initiative, Service to Our Customers. Our goal is to be second to none in this area. We strive every day to provide quality, reliability and timely results.
Customer service, like everything else, has had to change and adapt to the fast pace of today’s world. It seems as if the days of personal service have gone by the wayside. In most businesses, we interact with the Customer Service department more than any other group. As a Customer Service Specialist (as they are at Cherney), the experience you create for your customers can play a key role in their decision to do business with you. Here are a few items we at Cherney feel are important to building and maintaining customer relationships:
What’s in store for 2015
Our Strategic Plan was finalized with input from our entire team just before Christmas. We are off and running at executing that plan and had key items being worked on the first week of January.
With the holidays upon us, we tend to get into the spirit of giving! Holiday shopping, baking treats to share with family and friends, and generally, presents galore! This year, as in years past, the "Cherney Micro Family" has chosen a family within our community to assist this holiday season through the Salvation Army. Our Training Room is beginning to fill with amazing generosity for this family and it is our pleasure to give them a celebration they will not soon forget!
