Method Description:

  • Sample is saponified in basic medium and vitamin D is collected in hexane, evaporated, and compared against a known standard using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). 

Amount of Sample Needed for Analysis:

  • Individual test: 100 grams
  • Full Nutritional Analysis: 300 grams
