Sample Size


Salmonella Biochemical Confirmation testing is typically requested and completed directly from a presumptive product or presumptive environmental enrichment samples.
 
Customers may also submit Salmonella enrichments or agar plates with isolated Salmonella growth for confirmation.

Method Description


During Salmonella Biochemical Confirmations, samples are transferred to secondary enrichment broths and then struck to selective and differential agar types. Typical colonies are carried on for additional confirmatory testing, resulting in verification of the presence of Salmonella genus in the sample.
